O Holy Spirit,Fire of Divine Love,Come to us through Mary’s Immaculate Heart!

Posted on April 8, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Padre Pio said: “It would be easier for the world to exist without the sun than without the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.” “At times during the Mass I am consumed by the fire of Divine Love. My face seems to burn.”

Pope John Paul II once remarked that there was no concern, suffering, anguish or discouragement of others which did not find an echo in the hearts of St. Clare and her spiritual progeny. This is the great work which we as Poor Clare Nuns are privileged to continue even today, gathering into the heart of our enclosed life of prayer all the needs and hurts of the world. We invite you to join us in enlisting St. Clare’s intercession for the sick and suffering of our time, especially those who are afflicted with cancer and other terminal illnesses.

PRAYER:
O God,you who filled the heart of St. Clare
with love for the mysteries of the Cross and caused her to rejoice to share
in the sufferings of Christ, grant that through her example and prayers
all who suffer in mind, heart or body may find serenity in their suffering,
faith in time of trial, hope in Your healing mercy and be given a share
in the everlasting light and love of Your heavenly kingdom.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Novena to St. Elisabeth of the Trinity

Posted on April 8, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

O blessed Elisabeth !
In your great love of God,
You were always so close
to your friend’s needs.
Now, in Heaven,
Face to face with the Lord,
Do intervene near Him
for the needs we recommend to you.
(quote these here)
Teach us how to abide, in Love and Faith,
with the Holy Trinity
in the utmost of our heart.
Teach us how to radiate God’s Love
amongst men, in our everyday life
just as you did yourself,
so that we may be a praise of God’s glory.

Now pray slowly the Lords prayer, then thrice : Glory be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
