You have truly given us everything in giving us Yourself,O God.

Magnificat anima mea Dominum
Et exultavit spiritus meus in Deo
salutari meo
Quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae
ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent
omnes generationes
Quia fecit mihi magna qui potens est
et sanctum nomen eius
Et misericordia eius in progenies et progenies timentibus eum
Fecit potentiam in brachio suo dispersit
superbos mente cordis sui
Deposuit potentes de sede et exaltavit humiles
Esurientes implevit bonis et divites dimisit inanes
Suscepit Israhel puerum suum
memorari misericordiae
Sicut locutus est ad patres nostros
Abraham et semini eius in saecula.
Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto
Sicut erat in principio,
et nunc, et semper,
et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

"I no longer knew anything." Spiritual Canticle Stanza 26

She(the soul) takes little part in the affairs of others, for she is not even mindful of her own.

This is characteristic of God’s spirit in the soul:
He gives her an immediate inclination toward
ignoring and not desiring knowledge of the affairs of others,
especially that which brings her no benefit.

God’s spirit is turned toward the soul to draw her away from
external affairs rather than involve her in them.
Thus she remains in an unknowing, in the manner she was accustomed to.

all you Holy Saints, and Angels–pray for us.

Because my heart was inflamed, my reins were also changed, and I was brough to nothing and knew not. (Psalm 73:21-11)

My soul longeth and fainteth of the courts of the Lord Psalm 84 (Douay)

Psalm 84 >>Douay-Rheims Bible

1 Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for the sons of Core. How lovely are thy tabernacles, O Lord of host!
2 my soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have rejoiced in the living God.
3 For the sparrow hath found herself a house, and the turtle a nest for herself where she may lay her young ones: Thy altars, O Lord of hosts, my king and my God.
4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house, O Lord: they shall praise thee for ever and ever.
5 Blessed is the man whose help is from thee: in his heart he hath disposed to ascend by steps,
6 in the vale of tears, in the place which be hath set.
7 For the lawgiver shall give a blessing, they shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion.
8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob.
9 Behold, O God our protector: and look on the face of thy Christ.
10 For better is one day in thy courts above thousands. I have chosen to be an abject in the house of my God, rather than to dwell in the tabernacles of sinners.
11 For God loveth mercy and truth: the Lord will give grace and glory.
12 He will not deprive of good things them that walk in innocence : O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Keep always thine eye upon thyself first of all, and give advice to thyself specially before all thy dearest friends.

When a man hath perfect compunction, then all the world is burdensome and bitter to him.

Grounds for just grief and inward compunction there are in our sins and vices, wherein we lie so entangled that we are but seldom able to contemplate heavenly things.
