Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 4,24-30.

And he said, “Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place. Indeed, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah when the sky was closed for three and a half years and a severe famine spread over the entire land. It was to none of these that Elijah was sent, but only to a widow in Zarephath in the land of Sidon. Again, there were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet; yet not one of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.” When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury. They rose up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl him down headlong. But he passed through the midst of them and went away.

(Morning after morning he opens my ear that I may hear;)

Isiah 50 1:3-11
The Lord GOD has given me a well-trained tongue, That I might know how to speak to the weary a word that will rouse them. Morning after morning he opens my ear that I may hear;
5
4 And I have not rebelled, have not turned back.
6
5 I gave my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard; My face I did not shield from buffets and spitting.
7
The Lord GOD is my help, therefore I am not disgraced; I have set my face like flint, knowing that I shall not be put to shame.
8
He is near who upholds my right; if anyone wishes to oppose me, let us appear together. Who disputes my right? Let him confront me.
9
See, the Lord GOD is my help; who will prove me wrong? Lo, they will all wear out like cloth, the moth will eat them up.
10
6 Who among you fears the LORD, heeds his servant’s voice, And walks in darkness without any light, Trusting in the name of the LORD and relying on his God?
11
All of you kindle flames and carry about you fiery darts; Walk by the light of your own fire and by the flares you have burnt! This is your fate from my hand: you shall lie down in a place of pain.

Message of February 25, 2008
“Dear children! In this time of grace, I call you anew to prayer and renunciation. May your day be interwoven with little ardent prayers for all those who have not come to know God´s love. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

Responsorial Psalm69:8-10, 21-22, 31 and 33-34
R. Lord, in your great love, answer me.For your sake I bear insult,and shame covers my face.I have become an outcast to my brothers,a stranger to my mother’s sons,because zeal for your house consumes me,and the insults of those who blaspheme you fall upon me.
R. Lord, in your great love, answer me.Insult has broken my heart, and I am weak,I looked for sympathy, but there was none;for consolers, not one could I find.Rather they put gall in my food,and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
R. Lord, in your great love, answer me.I will praise the name of God in song,and I will glorify him with thanksgiving:“See, you lowly ones, and be glad;you who seek God, may your hearts revive!For the LORD hears the poor,and his own who are in bonds he spurns not.”
R. Lord, in your great love, answer me.

MI Consecration to Mary Immaculate

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth,refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother,God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you.I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet,humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have,wholly to yourself as your possession and property.Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body,of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you.If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve,wholly to accomplish what was said of you:“She will crush your head,”and “You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world. ”Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful handsfor introducing and increasing your glory to the maximumin all the many strayed and indifferent souls,and thus help extend as far as possiblethe blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.For wherever you enter you obtain the graceof conversion and growth in holiness,since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

V. Allow me to praise you, O sacred Virgin
R. Give me strength against your enemies

VERITATIS SPLENDOR (SPLENDOR OF TRUTH) 118

Posted on February 26, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

No human sin can erase the mercy of God, or prevent him from unleashing all his triumphant power, if we only call upon him. Indeed, sin itself makes even more radiant the love of the Father who, in order to ransom a slave, sacrificed his Son: his mercy towards us is Redemption. This mercy reaches its fullness in the gift of the Spirit who bestows new life and demands that it be lived. No matter how many and great the obstacles put in his way by human frailty and sin, the Spirit, who renews the face of the earth (cf. Ps 104:30), makes possible the miracle of the perfect accomplishment of the good.

This renewal, which gives the ability to do what is good, noble, beautiful, pleasing to God and in conformity with his will, is in some way the flowering of the gift of mercy, which offers liberation from the slavery of evil and gives the strength to sin no more. Through the gift of new life, Jesus makes us sharers in his love and leads us to the Father in the Spirit.

St. Teresa of Avila

Let nothing disturb thee,

Nothing affright thee

All things are passing;

God never changeth;

Patient endurance

Attaineth to all things;

Who God possesseth

In nothing is wanting;

Alone God sufficeth.
