Pictures Appearing of New Shrine to be Staffed by FI’s!!

Pictures are starting to appear on the web of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe which Archbishop Raymond Burke is building in La Crosse, WI. The ones below are from New Liturgical Movement. Creative Minority also has a post. A beautiful slide show done by the architect, Duncan Stroik, is well worth a peak. A truly a beautiful shrine!

When the church is dedicated this coming summer it will stand as a counter-example to those who say, in this day and age, it cannot be done, and will inspire us to even greater feats of art and architecture.
see Fi News.

from Creative Minority:

If anyone is still in the “it just can’t be done any more” school of beautiful liturgical art and architecture, this will gently nudge them out of it. The building partakes of a recognizable language of classical architecture, with its great baldachino framing the mosaic of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the rear wall behind in much the same way that the baldachino of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome frames the great Chair of Peter. Of particular interest is the level of design and craft found in the baldachino itself, where a coffered dome forms the underside of the canopy. It has been many decades indeed since something this sophisticated has been built in the United States. In the architecture of the new springtime, this building proves that not only has the ground warmed, but the seeds are sprouting and coming to flower.

If we understood God, He would be very small – Video – St Josemaria Escriva

The Forge, “To fight once more”, 430 http://www.escrivaworks.org/book/the_forge/point/430

Don’t just talk to the Paraclete. Listen to him! When you pray, consider how the life of childhood, which enabled you to realise deeply that you are a son of God, filled you with a filial love for the Father. Think how, before that, you have gone through Mary to Jesus, whom you adore as his friend, as his brother, as his lover, for that is what you are…After receiving this advice you realised that until now you had known that the Holy Spirit was dwelling in your soul, to sanctify it… But you hadn’t really grasped this truth about his presence. You needed that advice. Now you feel his Love within you, and you want to talk to him, to be his friend, to confide in him… You want to facilitate his work of polishing, uprooting, and enkindling…I wouldn’t know how to set about it!, you thought. Listen to him, I insist. He will give you strength. He will do everything, if you so want… And you do want!—Pray to him: Divine Guest, Master, Light, Guide, Love, may I make you truly welcome inside me and listen to the lessons you teach me. Make me burn with eagerness for you, make me follow you and love you.

Cease! the Sacred Heart of Jesus is with me!

Message of February 25, 2008
“Dear children! In this time of grace, I call you anew to prayer and renunciation. May your day be interwoven with little ardent prayers for all those who have not come to know God´s love. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

Responsorial Psalm69:8-10, 21-22, 31 and 33-34
R. Lord, in your great love, answer me.For your sake I bear insult, and shame covers my face.I have become an outcast to my brothers,a stranger to my mother’s sons, because zeal for your house consumes me,and the insults of those who blaspheme you fall upon me.
R. Lord, in your great love, answer me.Insult has broken my heart, and I am weak,I looked for sympathy, but there was none;for consolers, not one could I find.Rather they put gall in my food, and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
R. Lord, in your great love, answer me.I will praise the name of God in song, and I will glorify him with thanksgiving:“See, you lowly ones, and be glad;you who seek God, may your hearts revive! For the LORD hears the poor, and his own who are in bonds he spurns not.”
R. Lord, in your great love, answer me.

MI Consecration to Mary Immaculate

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother,God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you.I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet, humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body,of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you.If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you:“She will crush your head,”and “You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world. ”Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful handsfor introducing and increasing your glory to the maximumin all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possiblethe blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter you obtain the graceof conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

V. Allow me to praise you, O sacred Virgin
R. Give me strength against your enemies
